The Independent Election Commission announces the names of party members who received scholarships to study a higher diploma in electoral politics and administration

The Independent Election Commission announced the names of Jordanian party members who received scholarships to study in the Higher Diploma Program in Electoral Policies and Management, after passing the entrance exam for applicants to the program, which was held by the Commission on Monday, 20/9/2021.
According to Dr. Khaled Al-Kalaldeh, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission, 85 people took the exam and their distribution was as follows: Jordanian political parties, 58 people; official and semi-official institutions, five people; employees of the Independent Election Commission, twenty people; and two applications were submitted personally and independently.
The Independent Election Commission had published on its website the requirements for scholarships for the Higher Diploma in Electoral Policies and Administration program, following a meeting held by the Commission with general secretaries and representatives of political parties.
The commission also clarified the mechanism for submitting applications for the scholarship and the required documents, in addition to the study plan for the program, practical training and the procedural aspects of the electoral process. Note that the majority of political parties have unanimously agreed that the period of joining the party should be equal to or more than a full year, according to a letter from the leadership of the party that is certified by the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs. This came as a response to a question from the Independent Election Commission to political parties on this subject.
The commission also formed committees to interview those who passed the entrance examination to select those with the highest marks for enrollment in the academic year 2022/2021, where ten seats were allocated to political parties for which party members competed and to those who met the admission requirements, with one seat for each party. Ten other seats were allocated for employees of the Commission and official and unofficial state institutions, in addition to other seats for those who applied personally.
