Renewed Cooperation between the Independent Election Commission and the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania

Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission, Dr. Khaled AlKalalda has received the Chairman of the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania with the delegation accompanying him of directors and specialists in electoral processes and information technology In the presence of the Romanian ambassador in Amman, and the commission’s members of the Board of Commissioners, and its secretariat.

The aim of this visit is to seek the strengthening of prospects for joint bilateral cooperation in the area of management of electoral knowledge, and to exchange information and experience in respect of the electoral process in all its stages and this is the margin of signing a memorandum of understanding and joint cooperation between the two parties during which a review and an update was done for the previous memorandum of understanding which took place earlier in Amman. 

On the sidelines of the visit the (Mihai Eminescu) suit in the Commission’s Library which was established with the support of the Romanian Government, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania, and the Romanian Development Cooperation Agency was inaugurated. 

For his part, Chairman of the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania has commended the extent of the notable development achieved by the commission (IEC) and its continued success in managing electoral processes. He also showed his willingness to continue the cooperation and to support the efforts of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) in the area of the electoral process particularly in the area of study researches and consolidation of training programs.
