Independent Elections: Accepting (264) candidacy applications for the elections of chambers of commerce

The Independent Election Commission confirmed that it announced all the procedures governing the candidacy process for the elections of chambers of commerce and representatives of commercial sectors, before the scheduled date of candidacy on 3/11/2022, which is based on the law and system of chambers of commerce in force, and dealt with the legal periods related to the candidacy stage with complete transparency, in accordance with the time frame governing the currency of the bribe, as no candidacy application or reinforcements for this application were accepted after the closing of the candidacy door.
According to the media spokesman of the Independent Election Commission, Muhammad Khair Al-Rawashdeh, the supervisory committees, since receiving the applications for candidacy for the elections of the Chambers of Commerce, began to scrutinize these applications and decide on them in accordance with theLaw and the Chambers of Commerce System, where (264) applications were accepted, and (4) applications were rejected, for reasons related to the lack of documents such as non-conviction, professions license, changing sector, not attending in person when submitting the application, and not attaching a financial receipt.
Al-Rawashdeh stressed that the supervisory committees adhere to the commitment to theexecutive instructions issued, and that no one can violate the instructions specified for the timings of the stages of the electoral process that guarantee the fairness of competition, stressing the Commission's adherence to the law in all its procedures.
Al-Rawashdeh also indicated that all procedures followed by the Commission guarantee standards of integrity and impartiality in any elections it manages and supervises, and that it adheres to the fairness of granting opportunities to competitors, and that any affected candidate has the right to submit an objection to the Supervisory Committee, formed by the Commission in the Chambers of Commerce.
