The Independent Election Holds Draft Executive Instructions for the Elections of the Chambers of Industry and Commerce on its website

The Independent Electoral Commission published on its website the draft executive instructions for the election of members of the boards of directors of the chambers of industry and commerce and representatives of the industrial and commercial sectors, which will be effective from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette, where they included the executive instructions for the preparation of voters' lists and candidate tables for the election of members of the boards of directors of chambers of industry and representatives of industrial sectors, and the executive instructions for the preparation of voters' lists and lists of candidates for the election of members of the boards of directors of chambers of commerce and representatives of the commercial sectors.  The executive instructions on the formation of committees, polling, counting and collecting votes for the election of the councils of chambers and industrial sectors issued in accordance with the provisions of Article (10/b) of the Law of Chambers of Industry No. (56) of 2005 and its amendments, and the executive instructions on the formation of committees, polling, counting and collecting votes for the election of members of the boards of directors of chambers and commercial sectors issued in accordance with the provisions of Article (12/b) of the Law of Chambers of Commerce No. (45) of 2009.
According to the media spokesman of the Authority, "Mohammed Khair" Al-Rawashdah, these instructions regulate the mechanism of preparing schedules in industrial and commercial institutions that are entitled to vote, the mechanism for auditing them, the conditions for submitting applications for candidacy and the mechanism for auditing applications for candidacy for representatives of the industrial and commercial sectors, as well as the conditions for candidacy for membership of the Board of Directors of the Chambers of Industry and the competent chambers of commerce, the date of start and end of the electoral campaign, and the determination of the period of withdrawals from candidacy and objections to others and their time periods according to special forms prepared for this purpose.
Al-Rawashdeh added that these instructions also included the mechanism and conditions for the formation of committees to supervise the elections of the chambers of industry and commerce in accordance with the criteria of previous experience in electoral affairs, as well as the mechanism and procedures of polling, counting, preparation of aggregated minutes and announcement of results.
These instructions also gave priority in voting to voters with disabilities, and persons with disabilities who are unable to exercise their right to vote themselves have the right to exercise this right by their companions and at their choice.
