Independent Elections: A Series of Awareness Meetings in Al-Hussein Labor and Construction Camps

Within the framework of participation and openness to the partners of the electoral process, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth, has begun to hold an awareness meeting within the Hussein Labor and Construction Camps held annually by the Ministry of Youth for more than fifty years in various governorates of the Kingdom, and the meetings will begin from the Ramtha Brigade, through a series of meetings to be held by the Commission in this field, targeting the age group 15-24 years, with the aim of increasing the awareness of young people about political life in general and elections in particular.
According to the media spokesman of the Commission, Mohammed Al-Rawashdah, these meetings aim to empower young people politically by introducing them to the laws governing political life, introducing them to the most prominent developments on the electoral laws and parties, in addition to the chronology of the start of the electoral process from the moment of the issuance of the royal order to hold elections until the stage of preparing the results, and introducing the guarantees of integrity followed by the Commission in the electoral processes.   
Al-Rawashdah pointed out that the Commission was keen on the participation of young people in the electoral process at all stages in order to prepare them to engage in political life in the future, enhance belonging and train them to volunteer work within an institutional framework.
He added that the Authority is constantly working to build the capacities of its employees, including the youth category / volunteers and instill the culture and concept of volunteerism through their participation in the registration and candidacy stage, awareness and education campaigns and voting day, and the Authority is also working to prepare a team of certified trainers and specialists in youth work and qualify young people to deal with people with disabilities through specialized trainings to enable them to exercise their right and participate in the electoral process easily and easily.
