Jul 18, 2022
The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has launched the awareness campaign (Solution Participation), which aims to enhance awareness of the system of political modernization and the laws emanating from it in order to enhance popular participation in the political process in general and the electoral process in particular.
The campaign targets the general electorate in general and targets new voters, youth, women, campaign partners in knowledge transfer, and political parties in the latest developments in the law of parties and the procedures emanating from it.
The first phase of the campaign uses a number of awareness tools, including direct meetings in universities and schools, periodic meetings with civil society institutions in the governorates, and meetings with media professionals, correspondents, and journalists in different cities to convey awareness to them through manuals and training materials.
The stage also includes the widespread use of the Authority's social media, the production of film materials published through the visual media, the issuance of awareness information leaflets related to voters' lists, electoral lists and the conditions for their formation, the winners of parliamentary seats and the winners of the seats of the quota track for local and public districts, where these leaflets are published in universities, ministries, official institutions and events held by the Authority.
During this campaign, the Authority seeks to participate with all relevant civil society institutions, donors, academic and media institutions to reach the largest possible segment, while continuing with the programs currently held in universities (I participate) or school initiatives with the start of the next academic year.
