Independent Election Meets Political Institute for Youth Leadership Preparation
March 2, 2022 In accordance with the approach of openness and participation pursued by the Independent Electoral Commission, a dialogue meeting was held today at the headquarters of the Commission with the Political Institute for the Preparation of Youth Leaders, which comes in light of the commission's preparations for the holding of elections for provincial councils, municipal councils, and the Amman Secretariat Council in the last third of this month. Ammar Al Husseini, a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Electoral Commission, stressed the importance of the role played by young people in development, construction and in various aspects of life, politically, economically, culturally and socially, while calling on young people to engage in political life in general and elections in particular because of their ability to change and influence decision-making, especially in light of the spread of technology and the scientific revolution. Dr. Abir Dabana, a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Authority, reviewed the commission's preparations for the holding of provincial councils, local councils and the Amman Secretariat Council, and the procedures used to ensure the integrity of the electoral process at all stages, in addition to the practical steps taken by the Authority to maintain the safety of voters and participants in the elections. The Political Institute for the Preparation of Youth Leaders is a national youth umbrella, which implements a series of programs and projects to involve young people in public life and activate their role in the decision-making process through the national program of the Jordanian Youth Government Project and the Jordanian Youth Parliament Project, as well as the Political Academy for Youth program.
