Maan: Dialogue meeting on the electoral process of municipalities and provincial councils 

March 2, 2022  The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) held a dialogue on the electoral process in Maan on Tuesday with the participation of civil society institutions and community members. The meeting, which was held at the Center of His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, and was conducted by the Chairman of the Election Committee maan Hussein Al-Habahaba, discussed the commission's preparations for the holding of municipal councils, provincial councils and the Amman Secretariat Council scheduled for March 22nd. Jihad al-Momani, a member of the Board of Commissioners, spoke on several issues, most notably the integrity guarantees adopted by the Authority in its management of the electoral process, which guarantee the right of citizens to express their will and choose who they represent freely, including the dissemination of executive instructions, the provision of electronic and paper tools and techniques that are difficult to falsify and the adoption of the necessary environment for free, fair and transparent voting, in accordance with best international standards. He added that the Independent Commission had provided all procedures and information to voters and candidates to ensure that the electoral process proceeded easily and easily, in order to confirm the free will of voters to choose their representatives. During the meeting, there was an extensive dialogue between the attendees and the attendees on various issues and details relating to the course of the electoral process, and general guidance was provided to deal with those issues, and the Commissioner of the Authority answered all the inquiries raised by the audience.
