Independent Election: Appeals begin on primary candidate lists
February 27, 2022 The Independent Electoral Commission announced the start of the appeals phase in the lists of primary candidates for the elections of provincial councils, municipal councils and the Amman Secretariat Council, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday corresponding to (28 February 2022) and (1 _ 2/3/2022). The Authority indicated that, based on the executive instructions for running for the 2021 provincial and municipal council elections and the Amman Secretariat Council, each voter has the right to appeal the decisions of the Board of Commissioners to accept the application for the candidacy of any candidate within the boundaries of the municipal council or its constituency to the Court of First Instance, which is located in the municipal/constituency area within its jurisdiction. The Commission published on its website at midnight on Friday , 26 February 2022, for two days, the preliminary lists of candidates, after the completion of the stage of appealing the decisions of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Electoral Commission who rejected their applications in accordance with the provisions of the law.
