Independent Election Announces Publication of Lists of Primary Candidates on Its Website 

February 24, 2022  The Independent Electoral Commission announced that it will publish the preliminary lists of candidates whose applications for elections to provincial councils, municipal councils and the Amman Secretariat Council have been accepted on its website on Saturday and Sunday (26 February 27, 2022). The commission indicated that the publication of the preliminary lists of candidates came after the completion of the stage of appealing the decisions of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Electoral Commission who rejected their applications in accordance with the provisions of the law. Based on the executive instructions for running for the 2021 elections for provincial councils, municipal councils and the Amman Secretariat Council, each voter has the right to appeal the decisions of the Board of Commissioners to accept the application of any candidate within the boundaries of the municipal council or his constituency to the Court of First Instance, which is within its jurisdiction on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 28 February 2022( 1.2/3/2022).
