Training workshop for volunteer coordinators in The Independent Election
January 23, 2022 Dr. Awad Al Karadsha, Secretary General of the Independent Electoral Commission, stressed the importance of integrating and involving young people in the electoral process as voters, candidates and volunteers, during the opening of the workshop on training volunteer coordinators in electoral districts on the procedures of volunteer work in the nomination and voting phase, in light of the commission's preparations for the elections of provincial councils, municipal councils and the Amman Secretariat Council scheduled to be held next March. He also praised the role played by volunteers, especially on polling day, and their efforts in helping the elderly and people with special needs, which contributes to the progress and success of the electoral process at all stages.
The three-day training workshop, which will be attended by 138 coordinators from all regions of the Kingdom, includes the procedures of the work models in the nomination and voting phase, as well as training in the tasks of volunteers in the reception headquarters of applications and the mechanism for dealing with their database, the mechanism for receiving inquiries and observations, and the tasks of volunteers on polling and counting day.
