Independent election: End of the period of personal applications in the primary voter slates
December 29, 2021 The Independent Election Commission (IEC) has announced the end of the period of personal applications on the primary voter slates for provincial council elections, municipal councils, and the Amman Secretariat Council. According to the law, every voter who has found an error in his or her data listed in the voters' initial lists or has found an error in determining his or her polling station, and for each person whose name has not been included in the initial voter tables, is entitled to apply in writing to any civil status and passport office in the Kingdom, to correct the error in his or her statements or to modify his or her polling station, or to include his name in the tables, according to the form prepared for this purpose, within 10 days of the day after the date of the presentation of the presentation. The heads of the election committees are the primary tables of voters. The Civil Status and Passports Service must adjudicate personal applications submitted to it within 10 days of the day after the expiry date of the initial tables. The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) presented on its website and at the headquarters of the election committees the preliminary voter lists for the elections of provincial councils, municipal councils, and the Amman Secretariat Council, based on the provisions of article (36) of the Local Administration Act No. 22 of 2021, and article (6) of the Amman Secretariat Act, No. 18 of 2021, where the number of personal applications (11957) amounted to 11,957.
