The Independent for Elections: Launching the Activities of the “Electoral Justice and Justice” Program

Within the framework of cooperation and joint coordination between the Independent Election Commission and the Jordanian Judicial Institute, the activities of the “Electoral Justice and Justice” program have started today, as part of a series of programs.
According to Ammar al-Husseini, a member of Commissioners of the Independent Commission for the election of the Council, this program is divided into two sessions dealing with the first meeting of the regulatory framework for the elections, which includes many of the themes that include the emergence of the body and the legal framework governing the Independent Commission for the election under the relevant legislation, in addition to the stages of the electoral process, and the role of the judiciary in the protection of justice.
Elections, integrity guarantees, standards, and best practices, in addition to the integrity guarantees adopted and implemented in Jordan as stipulated in the laws of local administration and the Amman Municipality.
The second meeting, she dealt with to discuss the procedural framework for appeals councils, provincial and municipal council elections and the Amman Municipality and scheduled to take place in the year, 2022, which include the jurisdiction of the Court of First Instance to consider appeals electoral and procedures for consideration of the appeal by the court from the moment of arrival file suit, and the nature of the decision of the Court Where the appeal was accepted and rejected and the resulting consequences, in addition to the formality of the decision and its link with integrity and international standards.
Husseini added that the Commission has issued an introductory guide to shed light on the definition of which the Commission independent election and the concept of electoral justice in all its stages and classes in addition to the appeals system and guarantees of resolving electoral disputes, laws, regulations, and instructions governing the electoral process.
