Memorandum of Understanding between the Independent Election Commission and the Bar Association

The Independent Election Commission signed a memorandum of understanding with the Jordanian Bar Association, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Al-Kalaldeh, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission, and the President of the Jordanian Bar Association, Mr. Mazen Irsheidat, with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation between the two parties, thus enhancing legal awareness of the electoral process.
Al-Kalaldeh stressed the keenness of the Independent Election Commission on the importance of cooperation with the Jordanian Bar Association and openness to all partners supporting the electoral process. He indicated aspects of cooperation between the two parties represented in holding training courses related to the electoral process, integrity guarantees and international standards for the right to vote and social justice.
For his part, Irsheidat affirmed the Jordanian Bar Association’s readiness to provide professional and legal support to serve the electoral process and contribute to its success, praising at the same time the role played by the commission in raising awareness, educating and managing the electoral process in all its stages.
