The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission, Dr. Khaled Al-Kalaldeh, met the students admitted to the Electoral Institute, as part of the preparations to receive new students at the Institute for the academic year 2021/2022.
At the beginning of the meeting, Kalaldeh welcomed the students, stressing the importance of the program as the first of its kind in Jordan and in the region, and aims to create an empowered generation in electoral sciences in a way that contributes to spreading awareness and general culture in the foundations of elections, and in a manner that serves to modernize the Jordanian political system, in order to strengthen confidence in electoral processes.
Al-Kalaldeh explained that those who fulfill the requirements of the grant and admission have passed the entrance examination and personal interviews efficiently and transparently, explaining that half of the ones admitted for the first semester are from political parties, provided that the percentage will be gradually increased in the coming semesters. This is because the commission believes in the importance of the role of parties in the political process in general and in the electoral process in particular and the need to rehabilitate its staff for future benefits, announcing that the comission will provide the necessary infrastructure for the success of the educational process and provide all services and amenities for the students admitted, with the start of teaching at the beginning of the next semester.

Al-Qatatsheh confirmed that this program was initiated by the Independent Election Commission and in cooperation with Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies – Italy, stressing that the newly developed program will qualify students to study the master's program in political science, pointing to the willingness of the University of Jordan represented by Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II School of International Studies to provide all services to outstanding students in the program through the university’s library and the Deanship of Scientific Research.
