The Independent Election: Introductory Workshop for Election Committees

Dr. Awad Karadsheh, Secretary-General of the Independent Election Commission, stressed the need to activate channels of communication between the Commission and the election committees, and that was during the inauguration of the introductory workshop for the election committees, which was held at the Commission's headquarters in the presence of directors from various official departments.

Nasser Habashneh, Director of Electoral Operations in the Commission, also indicated that holding such meetings and introductory workshops related to special work procedures in the Operations Directorate and the work of committees in electoral districts aims to benefit from past experiences and develop procedures to improve the electoral process, simplify procedures and coordinate with various relevant authorities.

The workshop also included the work procedures of the election committees in terms of the organizational structure of the Election Committee, tasks, responsibilities, financial and administrative logistics, and monitoring electoral campaigns, in addition to evaluating polling and counting centers.
