The "Election Committee" of the Royal Commission for the Modernization of the Political System Meets the Independent Election

Several members of the Election Committee emanating from the Royal Committee for the Modernization of the Political System met with the Chairman and members of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission to draw on the Commission’s experience concerning the laws governing electoral processes, in particular the Electoral Code and its accompanying procedures.
Dr. Khaled Al-Bakkar, Head of the Election Committee in the Royal Committee for the Modernization of the Political System, stressed the importance of this visit to benefit from the expertise of the Independent Election Commission in all matters related to electoral procedures and issues in Jordan, especially as it implemented the electoral law and worked to reinforce strengths and avoid weaknesses in the implementation of the electoral law, explaining at once that the committee is keen to open up to all relevant parties in this field and that this meeting comes within a series of meetings with the Commission.
Dr. Khaled Kalaldeh, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission, reviewed several important facts and information related to the Parliamentary Elections of (2016) and (2020), and the implementation mechanism of the electoral law, especially in articles related to the participation of women, youth and political parties in the law.
During the meeting, which took place at the Commission’s headquarters, Kalaldeh confirmed that the Commission is ready to put all its expertise at the disposal of the Royal Committee for the Modernization of the Political System, while al-Bakkar praised the role and efforts of the Independent Election Commission and the qualitative leap it has made in its management of electoral processes
