Independent Electoral Commission meets civil society organizations in Jerash

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) held a meeting with civil society organizations in Jerash as part of a series of meetings with the electoral process partners in all governorates of the Kingdom.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Zuhair Abu Fares, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Electoral Commission, reviewed the establishment of the Independent Electoral Commission and its management of the various parliamentary, municipal and provincial councils, outlining the most important procedures governing the electoral process in all its phases and the guarantees of integrity followed by the Commission to reach credible, impartial and impartial elections.

Abu Fares added that the Commission seeks through holding these meetings in the governorates to reach all sectors and segments of society in order to educate citizens and inform them of their rights, which enhances the role of citizens in participating in the elections as voters, candidates, volunteers and observers.

Abu Fares explained that the Commission is working periodically and continuously to equip its cadres working in the elections through evaluations of trainers at various levels in order to develop their skills and technical abilities.

At the end of the meeting there was an extensive discussion in which Abu Fares answered the questions and inquiries of the audience.
