Delegation from AL-Hussein Camps for Work and Construction in IEC
Dr. Khaled Al-Kalaldeh, IEC Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, expressed his admiration for the Jordanian youth and their ability to deal with the current changes as a self-aware generation that belongs to his homeland.
This came during his meeting with a number of elite leaders participating in Al-Hussein Camps for Work and Construction of 2019 under the Ministry of Youth.
Al-Kalaldeh reviewed the establishment of IEC and the constitutional amendments that expanded its authorities in terms of the management of municipal, parliamentary, provincial councils and chambers of industry and commerce elections; and the enhancement of citizens’ confidence in the electoral process.
He noted that youth participation in volunteer work earned them skills that enable them to handle their national responsibilities and enhance the concepts of leadership and national culture.
He invited them to deepen their awareness of their social responsibilities and the need to plan their future and not to leave it for others.
He added; the youth are the pillar of the country and the reason of its development, therefore; it is important to enable them to be the points of strength that support, empower and develop the society.
In turn, Sahar Abu Hamour, head of the supervisory body of the elite camp, praised the Commission’s role in supporting the youth and encouraging them to participate in decision-making and supporting political reform.
In the end, an expanded discussion was carried out through which Al-Kalaldeh answered the questions and inquiries of the participants.
