Al-Kalaldeh: We Work according to a Comprehensive Plan to Develop Employees’ Skills in IEC

Dr. Khaled Al-Kalaldeh, IEC Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, confirmed that IEC works according to a comprehensive plan to develop its employees’ skills. Moreover; IEC works continuously on developing its employees, determining their needs through qualified trainers, and acquiring them the necessary knowledge and applicable procedures of all the electoral process phases to guarantee the Commission’s readiness to run any future elections. 

This came during a meeting with a number of columnists in the daily newspapers as part of the series of meetings held by the Commission with the media considering it a key partner in the electoral process. 

Al-Kalaldeh reviewed the Commissions’ most important achievements for 2019 starting by a specialized awareness program held by the Commission for all the justices of the peace and first instance in cooperation with the rule of law program focused on the adjudicate in the electoral appeals and targeted nearly (940) judges from all the courts of the Kingdom. As well as developing IEC employees’ skills in the fields of computer, legal terminology, English language and a program to assess trainers on the procedures of the electoral process and assess trainers of cadres and electronic linkage system.

He added, IEC has signed several agreements with international universities to grant master degrees in elections to workers and those interested in this field.

The participants toured IEC building and facilities, some training workshops and IEC information center, proceeded by an extensive discussion in which the Al-Kalaldeh listened to many observations and interventions.
