Maaita meets with students at the Electoral Institute.

Engineer Musa al-Maaita, chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Electoral Commission, met with students of the Electoral Institute in the Building of the Independent Electoral Commission.
"At the national level, we are proud to establish such a distinguished institute at the regional level, which is an important achievement in the independent electoral commission's career," he said.
Al-Maaita stressed that the institute's award of a specialized scientific certificate in elections is a guide to progress in this important science today, especially since a number of grants have been awarded to students affiliated with political parties.
Al-Maaita said the Commission considers this batch of students with the hope that they will be helpful in raising electoral awareness; and conveying honest information about how elections are conducted honestly, fairly and impartially, within international standards, helping to enhance confidence in the electoral process.
Al-Maaita heard the students' view of the challenges and opportunities for the development of the program.
