Arab Organization holds meeting with Independent Jordanian Election Commission

The Arab Organization of Electoral Departments and the Arab Network for Women in elections met today with the president of the Independent Electoral Commission, Engineer Musa al-Maaita. 
Hisham Kahil, director of the executive office of the organization, reviewed the nature of the organization's work and membership, arrangements for the fifth General Assembly meeting to be held in Jordan (headquarters state) and the regional workshop to be implemented on the sidelines of the conference on promoting youth participation in political life and areas of cooperation between the Authority and the organization.
Suhair Abedin, president of the Arab Women's Electoral Network, reviewed the network's action plan and the challenges facing its work.
For his part, Al-Maaita stressed Jordan's support for the work of the organization and the network to achieve the desired goals, and the keenness of the Independent Electoral Commission in Jordan to succeed the work of the organization and its networks and to harness the services of the Authority for this. 
The network's president also met with Dr. Abeer Al-Dabana, a member of the Board of Commissioners, to talk about the network's detailed plan to promote women's participation in elections at the regional and local level.
