Independent Election: Polling and Counting Committee Training Program Launched 

March 3, 2022 The Independent Electoral Commission announced the launch of the training program for polling and counting committees for the elections of provincial councils, municipal councils and the Amman Secretariat Council. According to Nasser al-Habashneh, director of the Electoral Operations Directorate of the Authority, this program aims to build the capacity of voting day workers and inform them of the procedures governing the conduct of the electoral process, as well as targeting polling and counting committees, station managers, liaison officers, administrators and staff working in elections for the purposes of standardizing procedures at all polling stations and counting. Habashneh added that the content of the training program has been divided into a theoretical and practical aspect so that polling day and procedures followed by polling stations are simulated with a focus on the mobilization of records, the voting mechanism, and the packaging of materials. It is worth mentioning that the program lasts for 10 days with (187) training sessions per day.
