IEC and Dutch Electoral Council Discuss mutual Cooperation

Dr. Khaled Kalaldeh, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of IEC, and Mr. Jan Wiebenga, Chairman of Dutch Electoral Council, have discussed the means of enhancing mutual cooperation between the two parties in the field of training and exchanging expertise in a way that serves the electoral process in all its phases. This came during Mr. Wiebenga’s meeting with the IEC Chairman and BOD.

In the presence of the guest and the accompanying delegation, Al-Kalaldeh reviewed the establishment of the Commission and its openness to the electoral administrations, stressing the importance of establishing a regional training institute specialized in voting and how this will benefit the region.

On the sidelines of the visit, the Commission held a dialogue as part of a series of meetings held by the Commission with officials and decision makers, under the motto “Knowledge Hour”, during which Wiebenga talked about the Dutch electoral experience, stressing the expanding cooperation between Jordan and the Netherlands.
