29 Jul 2022
The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) announced that the number of applications submitted until the second day of the start of registration for the first "I Participate" youth forum, which was launched last Wednesday and in cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation, has reached 830 applications.
According to the Commission, the "I Participate" forum aims to integrate Jordanian youth in universities in dialogue and public work, and to come up with unified recommendations to be discussed, developed, and implemented by various relevant authorities.
The forum also seeks to create a dialogue space between young people at the level of educational institutions in the governorates and the entire country, and to bring together young people with policy makers and other stakeholders, with the aim of opening the door for dialogue to listen to their priorities within the framework of political participation.
The Commission also pointed out that the registration of 830 participants within two days of the launch of registration is a positive indicator of the volume of interaction of young people and their enthusiasm to engage in the political process and provide effective participation to support the process of political reform and change making through their participation in decision-making.
The Independent Electoral Commission has announced the receipt of applications for electronic registration to participate in the forum for the next two weeks to register (click here ).
