Maaita meets local and international regulators

The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Electoral Commission, Engineer Musa Al-Maaita, met with local and international regulators who have already participated in the monitoring of elections on the elections, as part of a series of meetings held by the Commission with the partners of the electoral process.
Al-Maaita stressed that this meeting, which comes the next day to honor us to hand over the detailed report of the elections of provincial councils, municipal councils and the Amman Secretariat Council 2022 to His Majesty the King, which we were pleased to support the Commission and its work and call for more work and effort, with the aim of raising awareness and promoting popular participation in the elections, especially for young people and women, so that the royal directives will serve as a beacon that illuminates the work of the Independent Electoral Commission and enhances the confidence of its staff themselves and the confidence of voters in the achievements.
Al-Maaita said the authority is preparing to carry out several tasks, including launching a national awareness and education campaign, finalizing strategies to promote the participation of women and young people, starting to receive party applications, reconciling their status, updating the voter register and other tasks.
Al-Maaita added that the Commission, which is working today on many tasks, we were keen on this meeting, to confirm that the relationship between us is complementary, because the authority has taken on the policy of openness and communication with its partners, and you as supervisory agencies are a key partner in the electoral process and an important element of its success at all stages, and a guarantor of guarantees of the integrity of the elections, and a reason to enhance voter confidence in the electoral process.
He also pointed out that the Authority is keen to evaluate its performance after each electoral process, with the aim of strengthening strengths and avoiding weaknesses if any, relying on several factors and indicators, most notably the reports of local and international regulators, which are given by the Authority the utmost importance whether it is a tribute to the work of the Independent Electoral Commission, or criticism of its performance during the course of the electoral process, explaining the importance of the observations received by the body from the regulatory bodies, especially the violations and violations monitored because this enables the body to from taking corrective action to stop anything that offends the electoral process and reduce its effects.

Local and international to discuss many issues related to the electoral process, to examine the challenges faced by observers to work to overcome and remove them in future sessions, as well as to discuss new executive instructions for local and international observers, and the code for determining the conduct of observers to know, undertake and abide by their rights and duties.   
Al-Maaita stressed that the Authority will continue to perform its mission with transparency, integrity and impartiality, and to introduce everything that would contribute to the development of the electoral process, in accordance with his Majesty's vision, as well as to cooperate jointly with the accredited regulators, in addition to the commitment and provide a detailed report on the control of the electoral process.  To be a reference and help to us, the need to abide by the code of conduct of observers, neutrality and impartiality of any candidates.
