Independent election: March 7th is the deadline for withdrawal from the candidacy 

March 5, 2022  The Independent Electoral Commission announced that the end of the day after Monday, March 7, 2022, is the deadline for withdrawal from the candidacy for the elections of provincial councils, municipal councils, and the Amman Secretariat Council. Under executive instructions No. 4 for 2021, to run for provincial councils, municipal councils and the Amman Secretariat Council, any candidate may withdraw his candidacy by submitting a written application to the president 14 days before the official date and no withdrawal of any candidate after the end of this term shall be counted, and the Authority must announce the withdrawal of any candidate in the municipal/constituency area on its website. The Board of Commissioners of the Independent Electoral Commission has set the 22nd of this month as the date for the elections for provincial councils, municipal councils, and the Amman Secretariat Council.
