Independent election: (1018) Application for candidacy on the second day of the elections for provincial councils, municipal councils, and the Amman Secretariat Council  

February 08, 2022  The media spokesman of the Independent Electoral Commission "Mohammed Khair" AlRawashda confirmed that the number of applications submitted to the Authority for elections for provincial councils, municipal councils, and the Council of the Secretariat of Oman on the second day of candidacy amounted to (1018) applications, including (785) males, and (233) females. Al-Rawashda said the total number of applications submitted to the Authority over the past two days was 4,213, of whom 3,507 were male (83.24%) and (706) females (16.76%).
