Independent election meets civil society institutions in Ajloun 

February 2, 2022  The Independent Electoral Commission held a dialogue meeting with civil society institutions in Ajloun province in light of its preparations for the elections for provincial councils, municipal councils and the Amman Secretariat Council scheduled for March. According to Dr. Abir Dabaneh, a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Electoral Commission, this meeting is part of a series of meetings held by the Independent Electoral Commission with its partners in the electoral process in the provinces, which aims to spread awareness, electoral education and institutionalize the relationship between the Authority and civil society institutions as an important partner of the electoral process. Dabana called for popular participation in the upcoming elections through role-sharing and distribution of tasks, as the success of the electoral process is a national responsibility for all and reviewed the stages of the electoral process from the stage of presentation of tables to the announcement of results.  Ammar Al Husseini, a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Electoral Commission, said: The Authority is constantly working to assess its performance and develop its procedures in managing any electoral process in addition to the integrity guarantees followed by the Authority and opening the doors of accreditation to local and international observers, journalists and media local and international in order to ensure free and fair elections and enhance the citizen's confidence in the electoral process.  Husseini also stressed the independent election commission's keenness to fight black money in the elections and monitor any irregularity during electoral propaganda that may affect the conduct of the electoral process. The meeting included a theatrical performance entitled "Your Voice is Your Right", aimed at educating women about their political rights and expanding their participation in the electoral process.  At the end of the meeting, there was an extensive dialogue in which the Commission answered the questions and inquiries of the audience.
