Delegation from the French Council of State visits the independent election 

January 31, 2022 At the invitation of the Independent Electoral Commission and with the support of the French Embassy in Amman, a delegation from the French Council of State visited the Independent Electoral Commission with the aim of strengthening joint cooperation, sharing experiences in the field of electoral justice, and resolving electoral disputes. On the sidelines of the visit, the Independent Electoral Commission, in cooperation with the Jordanian Judicial Council, organized a specialized meeting with 86 judges, which addressed international standards in electoral justice and the legal and institutional framework of the electoral process. The meeting focused on the judge's important role in resolving electoral disputes and maintaining the integrity of the electoral process. In cooperation with Oman Civil University, the Authority also organized a similar meeting with a number of academics specializing in law from the Faculty of Law to inform them of the best international standards and practices related to the electoral process.
